What specialized facilities do you have for military groups?
We provide dedicated, private team areas and rigging spaces specifically tailored for military units and tactical jump groups. These facilities offer the privacy and space required for mission planning, pre-jump briefings, equipment preparation, and detailed post-dive debriefs.
Can tactical units conduct military freefall (MFF) training here?
Absolutely! Thanks to our dedicated military-catering facilities, year-round jump weather, and our location at the epicenter of the parachute manufacturing industry, Skydive DeLand is a destination for visiting tactical units executing military freefall (MFF) training progressions.
What aircraft are available to support military jump operations?
Skydive DeLand operates turbine aircraft that can support a variety of military training operations, including our Twin Otter. Aircraft availability and configuration may vary based on training requirements and scheduled operations. Contact us to discuss your unit’s needs and available aircraft options.
Were any standardized military skydive training methods developed here?
Yes! The foundational concepts of modern Accelerated Freefall (AFF) and Tandem skydiving were originally developed and tested right here at Skydive DeLand. These training progressions and freefall technologies have since been widely adapted for standard military freefall operations worldwide.
Do you offer military rates for training and operations?
We proudly support our armed forces and tactical teams. For specific logistics, aircraft manifestation, or to coordinate custom military skydive training rates for your unit, please contact our manifest office directly at (386) 738-3539.
