Experienced Jumper Info Hub

General Jumper Info

  • Must show log book and be current (Skydive Deland follows USPA Currency Requirements)

  • Must have at least 200 jumps to skydive with a camera

Aircraft Boarding

  • Board in reverse order of exit order
  • Protect your handles as you board, find your seat and fasten your safety belt
  • Seatbelts and helmets buckled up to 1,500 feet
  • Be ready to jump, our aircraft climb fast!

Exit Order

  • Movement / Tracking must be led by an approved leader
  • C license needed for solo freeflying
  • If you’re pulling above 4,000 feet, communicate with others at the boarding area for exit order
  • Exit order subject to change based on jumpers pull altitudes
  • Ask an instructor if you are unsure of exit separation timing

Jump Run & Exit

  • Follow the pilot’s instruction
  • Open the door on the red light
  • Check for clear airspace and spot
  • Exit only on the green light
  • Maintain adequate separation between groups based on aircraft ground speed
  • It is your responsibility to stay clear of clouds

Freefall

  • Maintain altitude awareness
  • Break-off as planned
  • Track as needed to assure safe separation for opening
  • Wingsuiters & High Pulls PLEASE look for Tandems
  • Open at the appropriate altitude

Canopy flight & landing

  • Do NOT fly over the runways below 1,000 feet
