If you want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane you’ve come to the right place! Since 1982 we’ve introduced thousands of first-time skydivers from Orlando and all over the world to our beautiful Florida skies. A tandem skydive, where you and your experienced instructor fly under a parachute system built for two, is the safest and most popular way to experience skydiving for the first time, and it was developed and tested right here in DeLand!
What Is Included?
Absolutely everything you need to jump is covered in the price of our tandem skydive. This means your instruction, necessary equipment, and airplane ride to full-altitude are included and you won’t be asked to pay anything more for the jump. However, you will have the option to hire a personal, professional videographer to jump with you and your instructor to film your experience.

TANDEM SKYDIVING REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 or older
- Must weigh less than 220 lbs
- Must show a valid photo ID
- No drugs or alcohol consumption before jumping
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Reservations are recommended
- Wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes are required
- Plan on spending 3-4 hours with us
- Leave valuables at home
WHAT TO EXPECT
Ok, you’re going tandem skydiving… but what should you expect? Once you arrive at Skydive DeLand you will check in at the Gear Store. Here you will watch a quick video from the makers of the tandem system you will be using, then you will fill out a waiver. After the payment process is complete you will hang out on our observation deck or in our restaurant until your instructor is available. You will meet your instructor in the classroom about 20 minutes before you board the plane. While you are in the classroom your instructor will explain the harness system and fit you with it. They will also describe what you should expect during your first tandem skydiving experience and give you a safety briefing. After you are geared up you will head out to meet the plane. Once on board the airplane, you will enjoy an approximately 12-minute ride to your exit altitude of nearly 14,000 feet. That’s over two and a half miles above the earth!
Once your harness is securely attached to your instructor’s it’s “Ready-Set-Go!” time! You and your instructor will exit the aircraft and freefall for approximately 60 seconds at speeds up to 120 mph. Then your instructor will deploy your parachute and you will enjoy a scenic canopy flight for approximately 5 minutes until you touch down for a feather soft landing.
You can relive your jump over and over again and share your incredible experience with family and friends!
If you decide to include the Video & Stills Package with your skydive, a personal, professional videographer will accompany you and your instructor to capture your skydive in full HD. After you land from your tandem experience, you and your videographer will watch and debrief your jump. Your video will be shown on the big screen inside The Perfect Spot Restaurant & Bar. Your video package will be provided via electronic means and posted to YouTube.
